When will TriLog be available?
What platforms will TriLog be on?
TriLog is launching on iOS first. We're focused on making the best possible experience for iPhone users. Android support may come in the future based on demand.
Is TriLog really free? What's the catch?
Yes, TriLog is completely free with no ads. All core tracking features are free forever. We plan to offer optional pro features in the future for users who want additional capabilities, but the core experience will always be free.
Where is my data stored?
Your data stays on your device. TriLog stores all your mood, energy, and activity data locally on your iPhone. We never send your personal information to any servers. Your data is yours alone.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export your data as CSV files, which you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application. This gives you full control over your information.
What will the pro features include?
Pro features are still being planned based on user feedback. They may include advanced analytics, custom tracking categories, themes, and more. But remember - all core tracking will always be free.
How do I track meals and calories?
When adding a note to any entry, start it with 'm' followed by the food and calories (e.g., "m eggs 300"). TriLog will automatically calculate your daily calorie total and display it on the main screen. It's a quick shorthand that saves time.
What is cycle tracking and how does it work?
Notes that start with 'cy' are used for monthly cycle tracking. Each cycle gets a color, and TriLog displays colored squares below the main grid to show the pattern over time. It's a simple, visual way to track cycles.
Can I backup my data?
Yes, and you should! Since all your data is stored locally on your device, backing up is important.
Automatic iCloud Backup (Strongly Recommended):
Enable iCloud Backup to protect against device loss or upgrade. TriLog's data is automatically included. To enable:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap iCloud
- Tap iCloud Backup
- Turn it on
Your device backs up automatically once per day when plugged in, locked, and on WiFi. If something happens to your device, you can restore all your data when setting up a new one.
Manual Export (Also Recommended): You can export your data as CSV files anytime from settings. This is useful for:
- Analyzing your data in Excel or Google Sheets
- Sharing data with healthcare providers
- Extra peace of mind with point-in-time snapshots
- Recovery without full device restore
Note: iCloud backup happens once per day, so you could lose up to 24 hours of recent entries if your device fails or the app data becomes corrupted. Regular manual exports provide additional protection.
Is TriLog a medical or diagnostic tool?
No. TriLog is a personal tracking tool for understanding your own patterns and trends. It's not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. If you have health concerns, please consult a healthcare professional.
